How To Prevent Access To Your Personal / Financial Files In Windows?

Hi everyone! This trick will show you how to prevent access to personal files, follow these steps:

• Suppose you have a text file called “Example”.
• Go to Tools> Folder Options> Go to View Tab.
• Uncheck the option “Hide Extensions for Known File Types”.
• This action will display the extensions of filese in the computer.
• Click Apply and OK.
• The file “Example” will be displayed as “Example.txt”.
• Rename the file from “Example.doc” to “Example.aaa”.
• You can give any file name and any extension instead of “.aaa” but ensure that the extension is not associated with any other program.
• The Computer will ask you for confirmation.
• Click Yes.
• The file icon will change now.
• Your file is in-accessible now.

For viewing back the file:

• Open the program in which the file can be view. In the above example, open notepad.
• Drag the file to the notepad.
• That's all.
• OR change back the extension to ".txt".

Solve Hidden Files & Folders Not Showing

Sometimes you may have gone through this typical problem "Hidden Files & Folders Not Showing". It happens because of missing some windows files. So here's a way to solve this problem. Follow these simple steps:

• Go to start> run> Type cmd
• In command prompt, type regsvr32 /i browseui.dll
• Wait for confirmation window.
• Now type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
• Again wait for confirmation window.
• That's all.

Hide Folders & Files Using CMD

In this post, I'm gonna tell about hiding folders & files using cmd, follow these simple steps:

• Go to start> run> Type cmd
• In command prompt, type attrib "file path" +r +s +h  for e.g. attrib "C:\media\pics" +r +s +h
• That's all.

To unhidden the files just replace command's + sign with - sign.

How To Create An Enormous Size File In Windows?

Hello friends! In my other post, I explained about Virus For Windows Crash. Today I'm posting about creating a huge size file in Windows. Follow these simple steps for making an enormous size file in just few minutes: 

• Suppose you have to create a text file of 2000000 bytes on your desktop.
• Open Windows calculator, choose decimal to hexadecimal, so it's hex value will be 1E8480.
• Go to start> run> Type cmd> Write command as "cd desktop".
• Now type command DEBUG hack.txt , ignore the message or you can choose the name of your own wish.
• Type RCX and press Enter.
• Type the last four digits of the hex number 8480 after : and press Enter.
• Type RBX and again press Enter, then enter the first two digits of the hex number 1E after : 
• Now enter W, after writing press Q "quit", you can make file of any size just by following this method.

Note: Try it on your own risk & it will work effectively on 32 bit system only.

How To Lock Folder With Command Prompt?

Want to lock a folder without using any software / password in Windows, follow these simple steps:

• Go to start> run> cmd
• In command prompt, Type cacls "path_of_folder" /E /P everyone:n
• To regain access type: cacls "path_of_folder" /E /P everyone:f

Note: Do not lock C:\ drive using this trick otherwise Windows will not boot next time. I have already explained one more method of folder locking using Batch. You can check it from here.

How To Lock Any Folder In Windows (With Description)?

Hi everyone! In this post, I will show you with detail about locking any folder in Windows. Before continue, check out my other post on locking folder using cmd from here.

Suppose you want to lock the folder "hack" which has the path "e:\hack".

• Open notepad.
• Type ren e:\ hack hack.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} 
• Save it as lock.bat
• Now open batch file.
• Your folder will change to Recycle Bin with the name hack, so no one can access it now.
• Whenever someone would try to access this folder, recycle bin will get opened.

Actually {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} is the registry value for Recycle bin. This batch file will rename the hack folder to Recycle Bin (using ren command). Similarly, you can change it to control panel by replacing {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} with {21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}.

• For unlocking the folder, create one more batch file with same way and type ren hack.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} hack in it.
• Save it as unlock.bat 
• Recycle Bin will change back to original folder.

Note: However it's just a two line method but for learning purpose, you must have the knowledge about how it works.
