In my previous post, I wrote about How To Add Administrator Account To Welcome Screen? using Registry. Now am telling about one more way to adding administrator account to welcome screen using CMD, follow these steps:
  • Run command prompt as Administrator.
  • Type command "net user administrator /active:yes"
  • You should see a message "The Command Completed Successfully."
  • Log out & you will see Administrator account on your welcome screen.
  • For hiding, enter command as "net user administrator /active:no"

Trick For Hiding Text In Notepad

Ever wondered about hiding text in notepad? With a simple trick you can hide any notepad text. Follow these simple steps:
  • Open CMD, go to the path where you want to save your text file (Like I entered the command as d: for saving text file in D drive)
  • Enter the command notepad hack.txt:hacked (hack is the name of the file).
  • A prompt window will ask for creating a new file, press Yes & write text whatever you want.
  • Save it by using Ctrl+S.
  • You have created text file with name hack in D drive. 
  • Open the file, it won't show anything.
  • For showing the text, again write the same command in DOS as notepad hack.txt:hacked
Note: You can also try as notepad hack.txt:hacked for hiding text in wordpad.

As we know that Run executes files which have path in system32 folder of windows. Like cmd, notepad are placed in system32 folders. So we can directly access these applications by entering just name of application in run box. Like typing Notepad in run will open Notepad. So in the similar way you can make your own run command. Follow these simple steps:
  • Copy any file or its shortcut (which you wanna to access through run Like any MP3 file with name abc.mp3) to C:\Windows\system32 folder.
  • Now type the file name in run box & press Enter.

  • Using CMD

    Type Ctrl+G in DOS & then press Enter. For long beep you can repeat the process like pressing Ctrl+G 10 times and then press Enter.

  • Using VBS

    Copy below written script and paste it on Notepad, save it with extension .vbs

    For making beep that does not stop, try this code:

Note: For stop, go to Task Manager, Processes, Look for process with name wscript.exe and then click stop.

Traceroute is a command which can show you the path a packet of information takes from your computer to one you specify. It will list all the routers it passes through until it reaches its destination, or fails to and is discarded. Follow these simple steps:
  • Go to start> run> Type cmd
  • Enter command like tracert www.basicsofhacking.com
  • That's all.

  • Window will open, type "list volume" without quotes.

Follow these simple steps for remotely shutdown, restart & logoff your computer:
  • Go to start> run> Type shutdown -i or Go to start> run> cmd> Type shutdown -i 
  • Click the "Add" box and type the name of the computer you want to shutdown or IP address.
  • Choose What do you want these computers to do: 
  • Then select time , Put your comment like bye bye!! n then Ok.
  • For aborting use command as shutdown -a

Note: You can easily get these commands by using HELP command too. For getting description about any command , just type "command /?" without quotes , where command is the name of command about which you want description.

How to Apply Password To Guest Account?

Applying password to guest account looks somewhat annoying, but you can easily do it using command prompt & one another method.

Method 1: Using Command Prompt
  • Go to start> run> Type cmd
  • Type "net user guest passwd" without quotes where passwd is your password you applied.
  • Go to user accounts, you will see password applied to your guest account.
Method 2: Using User Accounts
  • Go to start> run> Type usercontrolpasswords2
  • Click on Guest, you will see the option for Reset Password...
  • Click on it, enter your new password for guest account.
Note: You need administrator privileges for this hack.

If your drives don't open when you click on them or open in another window, then try this trick. It will help you to resolve the issue, follow these simple steps:
  • Go to start> run> Type cmd> Go to the path of drive by typing x: where x is your drive name.
  • Type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf
  • Now type del autorun.inf
  • That's all. Enjoy.

Want to lock a folder without using any software / password in Windows, follow these simple steps:
  • Go to start> run> cmd
  • In command prompt, Type cacls "path_of_folder" /E /P everyone:n
  • To regain access type: cacls "path_of_folder" /E /P everyone:f
Note: Do not lock C:\ drive using this trick otherwise Windows will not boot next time. I have already explained one more method of folder locking using Batch. You can check it from here.

How To Disable Auto Disk Checking While Windows Startup?

Sometimes people face automatically disk checking while Windows startup and it annoys them. But here's a way to overcome from this issue, follow these simple steps:
  • Go to start> run> Type regedit
  • Go to the path HLM\ System\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\ Session Manager.
  • Here, the default value for BootExecute is autocheck autochk *.
  • Run the command chkntfs /x c: in command prompt (For if your system start-up and do disk checking of C drive). It would modify the registry entry to autocheck autochk /k:c *

    Note: c: is the drive letter in chkntfs /x c:
  • Restart the computer and now it would not ask for disk checking again.
