How To Show File Extensions Of Any File In Windows?

Check file extensions for XP & Windows 7.

For XP users:

• Open My Computer> Go to Tools tab> Folder Options> View tab.
• Unchecked 'Hide extensions for known file types'.
• Click Apply & then Okay.

For Windows 7 users:

• Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Folder Options> then go to View tab.
•  Unchecked 'Hide extensions for known file types'.
• Click Apply & then Okay.  

Note: For hiding, select 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Click Apply & then Okay.
