By default in Windows you can set password of length like 4,6 or any characters length on start-up, but you can also restrict user to set password of minimum length, means password must not be less than characters set by user.
- Go to start> run> Type gpedit.msc
- Then go to Computer Configuration> Windows Setting> Security Settings> Account Policies> Password Policies.
- Double click on Minimum password length.
- Set length.
- That's all.
